Jesse lives in Toronto. He’s fairly friendly and sometimes even in a good mood. His art is influenced by big questions, lowbrow humour, mischievous imagination, and random, everyday things. It’s a playfully irreverent commentary on the world for no good reason other than his own personal amusement.

Ages ago Jesse was a graphic designer. He eventually got bored and moved to BeiJing, China and for a few years studied Eastern philosophy, ink painting and Chinese medicine. Afterward Jesse returned to Canada and started up an integrated neurological rehabilitation clinic specializing in catastrophic and complex injury. Lately, he’s been spending a lot of time drinking tea and pondering dung beetles.

If you’re trying to understand how this all makes sense, don’t bother. If you do happen to figure it out, please contact Jesse and explain it to him.

Jesse’s artwork is generally small and simple because it’s easier that way. Mediums include inkjet prints, gesso, acrylics, ink, liquid paper, watercolours & ball point pens. Jesse doesn’t like doing commissions, although sometimes, if the stars are aligned, he can be convinced to collaborate.

That’s about all there is to say. Hopefully you enjoy this site (of course you do, you weirdo). Don’t feel bad, a little cynicism is good for your soul.
